On December 28th, the Barrie Triathlon Club will be setting up at the Georgian Mall with information on plans for 2012, and the opportunity to take advantage of early season registration! When you are out doing your Boxing Week shopping, stop by and say hi (and register for the season!!)

Baydogs Participate in Man in Motion Relay

Barrie TC Baydog Ryan Blake took part in Rick Hanson's Man in Motion tour this past weekend. Congratulations Ryan on being part of a fantastic event!

In Transition

"Oh the weather outside is frightful..."

Okay, maybe not so much. BUT, most triathletes are in their off-season at the moment, getting ready for that New Year's Resolution back-into-training plan, or perhaps you took your off season earlier, and now you're gearing up for some early winter/mid winter running races.

Chilly 1/2 Marathon
Peterborough 1/2 Marathon

Also, the club has some big things in the works for winter training. We can't go into details just yet, but if everything works out, we're hoping to take your training to a whole new level!

So enjoy your "transition" from racing to training season. Enjoy some holiday cheer guilt-free knowing that soon you'll be pounding that snow drift with your yak-trax with a cold winter head wind, wishing it were summer!

2011 Social Success...Bring on 2012!

Great showing last Saturday night at the Lockerroom by the Baydogs. Some boisterous talk, bravado bragging of 2011, goals set for 2012, training plans discussed and disected. A great end to a great season! And to think, 2012 is going to be way better!!!!

On Saturday September 12 we will be having our traditional monthly social at the Lockerroom on Cundles. There will be door prizes, food, and lots of triathlon banter. Baydog members, and potential members are welcome! Arrive anytime after 7:00!

Jeff Moyle Gets Set to Attack IMFl

This Saturday, Jeff Moyle will leaving the cool confines of Barrie, ON to compete in his first Ironman at Ironman Florida! Not only that, but this is also Jeff's first triathlon season! Good luck Jeff! The Baydogs will throw on the woolies and cheer you on!

Even though the triathlon season is over, Joanne Merkley's great season keeps getting better!

To follow up the great podium performances Joanne achieved this year, she also finished 3rd in her age group in the Subaru Triathlon Series Season Points!
