Baydogs Heat Up The Streets In The Chilly Half!

Great job by all the Baydogs that conquered the Chilly Half Marathon yesterday in Burlington. Some fast times this early means it's going to be an amazing summer for the Baydogs! The following dogs raced yesterday:

Caitlin Pietras
Dave Reckzin
Sarah Miller
Joanne Merkley
Wes Reid
Rina White
Michelle Rumney
Jeff Moyle
Darrin Smith
Doug Austin
Mark Forde
Greg Cormack
Al Johnson
Dean Beaudry
Keith Hodgson
Paul Harber

Special mention goes out to Dave Reckzin and Sarah Miller. Rex was doing his first race since his horrible accident at Ironman Lake Placid, and Sarah Miller ran her very first 1/2 marathon after a couple of seasons set back due to injury!

Also, Jamie Nielsen ran the Peterborough 1/2 marathon the weekend before and set a very fast pace for his season, despite little to no running since Road2Hope marathon (although 300+km of cross country skiing has his cardio right up there with the best of them!)

Way to go Baydogs!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from the Baydogs! So you've just finished eating, drinking, and being merry...now you want to start your new year's resolution of getting fit. What better way to do that than to join the Barrie Triathlon Club! Triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports, and involves many different age groups and many different athletic abilities. From preparing to do your first tri, wanting to improve on past times, to taking that next step to half-iron distance/full-iron distance, the Barrie Triathlon Club can help you prepare. You will not find a better group of individuals that will help you achieve your athletic dreams in a positive manner.

2012 is going to be a big year for many returning members, and hopefully we can help new members achieve their athletic goals as well!
