So far, so successful for the Baydogs in 2011!

2 half marathons into 2011, and the club has seen some amazing results! Jamie Nielsen and Mary Mitchell ran the Peterborough half marathon, with Mary finishing 1st in her age group, and Jamie once again raving about how great of a race the Peterborough half has become. This past weekend, many Baydogs travelled, then ran, through the snow in Burlington for the Chilly Half Marathon. David "Rex" Reckzin set a new half marathon PB, and new Baydog member Keith Hodgson ran his first ever Half Marathon. Here's what Keith had to say about the Chilly:

Just letting you know I ran the Chilly ½ Marathon today. This was my first
every ½ Marathon. My chip time was 2:15. The race name lived up to its
reputation and it was a chilly run, around -5C with a windchill making it
about -12C. There were two other Baydogs runners there with me (Torsten
Helmich 1:52 and Dave Reckzin 1:34). It was well run and all the runners
seemed to enjoy this long race. Thank’s goes out to the City of Burlington
for hosting this event.

Congratulations to everyone so far for setting the bar high for the 2011 season! Great job to all Baydogs that have already raced this year, and good luck to everyone for a successful 2011 season.
